My Business
I'm an entrepreneur, making money from a mix of
- web design and internet marketing services,
- selling software, info products, and web templates,
- and affiliate marketing.
My main business is an internet marketing agency, called DigiStage GmbH.
Founded in 2001 it was once a traditional brick and mortar business, located in Germany. We had an office, the occasional staff meetings, and I found myself travelling around the country for 'too-early-in-the-morning' meetings with my clients.
Since 2005 I have transformed this business to a web based company. It's now truly a location independent business.
We do web sites and internet marketing projects for clients all over the world, using the internet, email and Skype.
Being free from the necessity to show up in office, I'm currently alternating between Thailand and Germany every few weeks. Some say, I'm living the Dream.
But for me it's just a beginning...
My Passion
Over the last 10 years I had contact with thousands of small business owners and freelancers - and I noticed how 97% of them failed and had to go back to a normal job.
Their failure almost always rooted in having a doomed-to-fail business strategy right from the start.
It doesn't mean it couldn't be fixed, but they just had no one to guide them. They were trying on their own, and didn't have the knowledge and experience to make a success.
What good is going into business, if you end up losing everything you were supposed to gain? A business failure means: money, time, and enthusiasm lost.
That's why I'm now looking for ways to have greater impact, to help more people succeed.
As an agency we do project based work for clients, and that's where our impact ends. For example: we give them a web site, as requested by the client, then move on to the next project.
It's like fishing a fish for the needy, and then moving on.
You get the idea ... instead of providing a tiny fish to an individual business, I rather help many businesses to succeed on their own. It's the old 'teach them fishing' metaphor.
On the practical side this means creating information products, mastermind groups, and coaching programs, where you will learn how to maximize your impact.
The Internet Is A Game Changer!
The internet and the emerging networks of app driven spaces give people an unprecedented opportunity to educate yourself, get your message out, and connect to other people.
Today a single person, a small business, or a small organization, can have an impact that 20 years ago would have needed a marketing budget of several million dollars.
That puts power in the hand of individuals ( => you ), previously only available to the Fortune 500.
What Can You Expect?
